Lori Hansen, M.D. is an accomplished facial plastic surgeon, providing aesthetic and surgical treatments for the rejuvenation of the face and neck of clients throughout Oklahoma as well as other parts of the United States.
A University of Oklahoma Medical School graduate, Dr. Hansen completed her ENT residency both in University of Alabama at Birmingham and at University of Oklahoma Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic surgery done in Beverly Hills, California with world famous facial plastic surgeon Frank Kamer, M.D.
Equally significant to Dr. Hansen's medical accomplishments is her involvement in outreach efforts and initiatives regarding women's issues: in particular, those involving domestic violence concerns. She was the feature presentation on ABC's 20/20 in 1995 - a bio-sketch strategically highlighting how her involvement in these matters has made a difference. Dr. Hansen has also appeared on Sally Jesse's TV show, twice on Geraldo, on Inside Edition, twice on the Today show and was the inspiration behind the innovative program entitled Face to Face Domestic Violence program (through AAFPRS). The Face to Face Domestic Violence program is essentially a worldwide network of physicians, who participate in providing pro-bono work for victims of domestic abuse. This initiative earned Dr. Hansen the National Community Service Award in 1995.
A former Miss Oklahoma USA, Dr. Hansen was the sole recipient of the 1998 Spirit of Women Award. In 1999, she was selected by Vanity Fair as one of America's 200 Most Influential Women, specifically for her work focusing on domestic violence concerns. In 2000, Dr. Hansen was dually awarded: the Association of Communication Byliner's Award and the Daughter's of the American Revolution (D.A.R.S.) Community Service Award. In 2011 and 2015, Dr. Hansen received a national award from The Aesthetic Show for the Best Facial Surgical Rejuvenation Enhancement.
Dr. Hansen has been married to Wes Lane since 1987 and they have one son, Derrick, who is currently flying Chinook helicopters in the Army National Guard and is a deputy at the Sheriff's department. Derrick and his wife, Soniya, just welcomed a beautiful baby girl this past summer.
When not caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three Italian Greyhounds as well as cycling, photography and sewing.
